Mark your calendars for May 23 as Poco gears up for the global launch of its latest offerings, the Poco F6 Pro and its base counterpart, the Poco F6. After teasing us with glimpses of the handset designs, the company has finally spilled the beans on some crucial specifications and features, including chipset details, display specs, charging capabilities, and camera prowess. Additionally, Poco has unveiled the color palette for these smartphones. Adding to the excitement, an unboxing video of the Poco F6 Pro has surfaced online just days ahead of the official launch, offering a sneak peek into the phone and its packaging.
In a flurry of announcements on X (formerly Twitter), Poco revealed that the heart of the Poco F6 Pro beats with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and a whopping 1TB of onboard storage. Anticipated to deliver an impressive AnTuTu score of 1,642,770, the device boasts a 5,000mAh battery with 120W HyperCharge support and flaunts a WQHD+ Flow AMOLED screen. Furthermore, it houses a formidable 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 primary rear camera sensor.
The Poco F6 Pro is slated to debut in sleek black and pristine white variants, featuring a striking marble-like pattern and a sturdy metal frame, reminiscent of the Redmi K70 design. Speculations suggest that the upcoming handset might be a rebranded version of a Redmi smartphone.
Meanwhile, a leaked unboxing video, initially shared by user ComputerHoy on Dailymotion (now set to private), showcases the Poco F6 Pro in a sophisticated black hue, highlighting its 50-megapixel optical image stabilization (OIS) equipped rear camera unit. The device sports a flat display with a centered hole-punch slot to accommodate the camera, and the package includes a 120W adapter.
Previously, rumors hinted at a price tag of EUR 619.90 (approximately Rs. 56,000) for the 16GB + 1TB variant of the Poco F6 Pro.
Simultaneously, the base model, Poco F6, rumored to be a rebadged version of the Redmi Turbo 3, is set to debut in India on the same day. Sporting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, Wildboost 3.0 optimization, and Poco Iceloop cooling system, the device will run on Android 14-based HyperOS and will be available in Black and Titanium color variants.
